Fantasy Football AI Prompts That Use Real Trade Values

Copy-ready prompts for ChatGPT and Claude that call TradeGauge's MCP tools: grade a trade, check a Sleeper roster, find value movers, price rookie picks. Each prompt says which tool answers it and what to verify.

A general chatbot will grade any trade you paste in. It just does it from memory, with a number it never looked up, in the same confident tone either way. These prompts are different: each one is written so the assistant has to call a TradeGauge tool and answer from the current market table instead of guessing.

They work in ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client once TradeGauge is connected. Setup takes about a minute and needs no account: connect the MCP server. Not connected yet? Every prompt below has a no-AI fallback on the site.

Before you start: two habits that keep the answer honest

Name the format. TradeGauge’s dynasty table is one Superflex-weighted market. Redraft has six value sets (Superflex or 1QB × PPR, Half, Standard). If you don’t say which, the tool defaults to dynasty, and a 1QB redraft question gets a Superflex answer. See what the formats do and don’t cover.

Ask for the receipt. Every tool reply carries a “values updated” timestamp and the value source. Tell the assistant to quote both. If it can’t, it didn’t call the tool, and the number is a guess.

A good prefix for any of the prompts below:

Use TradeGauge tools for every value. Quote the values-updated timestamp. If a name doesn’t resolve, stop and ask me instead of guessing.

Grade a trade

Tool: tradegauge_evaluate_trade (resolves names through tradegauge_search_players first).

Grade this dynasty trade with TradeGauge: I give Bijan Robinson, I get the 1.02 and Garrett Wilson. 12-team Superflex. Show both totals, the verdict, and which single asset moved the number most.

I’m offered Puka Nacua for Jonathan Taylor plus a 2027 second. Grade it in redraft, Superflex PPR, then again in dynasty. Tell me where the two verdicts disagree and why.

Here’s a 3-for-1 I’m being offered: [paste]. Grade it, then tell me how much of the “win” is just package depth. I don’t want three bench players for one starter.

What to check: the verdict sides. Each side is what that team gives, so the side sending the smaller package is the one coming out ahead. Pick shorthand like “2027 1st” is priced as a mid-round pick unless you say early or late; the reply states that assumption, so confirm it matches your league’s standings.

No AI fallback: the dynasty trade calculator or the redraft trade analyzer.

Look up a player, with comparables

Tool: tradegauge_get_player_value.

What is Brock Bowers worth in dynasty right now, and which five players sit closest to him in value? I want one-for-one swap ideas.

Compare Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson: value, positional rank, age, and how far apart they are as a percentage.

No AI fallback: player pages and compare pages.

Price rookie picks and the draft class

Tools: tradegauge_get_rankings and tradegauge_get_player_value.

List the current rookie-pick values for 2027 (early, mid, late in rounds 1 and 2) and tell me which veteran players are priced about the same as a 2027 mid first.

Rank the current rookie class by dynasty value. Which rookies are already priced above a 2027 first?

Timing matters here: picks are cheapest in-season and climb from December. The rookie pick value calendar explains the cycle the numbers follow.

No AI fallback: rookie rankings.

Who is rising and falling

Tool: tradegauge_get_value_movers.

Who gained and lost the most dynasty value recently? Give me the top five each way with the percentage move, and flag any name that is on my roster: [paste roster].

Which running backs under 25 have dropped at least 10% recently? I’m looking for buy-low targets, not injured players.

No AI fallback: value movers.

Read a Sleeper roster

Tool: tradegauge_get_league_roster. Needs only a public Sleeper username or league ID, no login.

Pull my Sleeper league for username [name]. For my team, list every player with current dynasty value, sorted by position, and tell me which position is my thinnest relative to the league.

From my Sleeper league [league ID], which manager holds the most 2027 picks, and what are those picks worth today?

What to check: the reply should name the league and season it read. If you have several leagues under one username, ask for them by name.

No AI fallback: the Sleeper league analyzer does the roster read plus a positional need rank, and one free roster-aware trade match. The Sleeper trade finder is where the full partner search lives today; it is a website feature, not yet an MCP tool.

Review trades that already happened

Tool: tradegauge_get_league_activity.

Review the completed trades in my Sleeper league [league ID] this season. For each one, show the value gap at today’s prices and who got the better side. Which manager keeps winning trades?

Which free agents in my Sleeper league [league ID] carry real dynasty value right now? I want to know if the waiver wire has anyone worth a claim.

No AI fallback: the Sleeper trade database.

A weekly check you can reuse

Paste this on Tuesday after waivers clear:

Using TradeGauge tools: (1) pull my Sleeper roster for [username], (2) list the three players on it that lost the most value this week, (3) list the three on it that gained the most, (4) name my thinnest position, and (5) suggest one realistic one-for-one trade target for that position, priced within 10% of something I could send. Quote the values-updated timestamp.

What the tools will not do

They will not place a trade, edit a roster, or read a private league. They do not carry projections, injury news or start/sit advice, so if the assistant volunteers those, it is answering from its own training, not from TradeGauge. And the dynasty table is one market: if your league is 1QB dynasty, treat quarterback prices as a ceiling, not a quote.
