What the TradeGauge number means—and what it does not

Market-value source
Values are sourced from Dynasty Dealer, whose public model uses real Sleeper trades and community input. TradeGauge displays the required attribution wherever those values appear.
Validation and freshness
Each provider response must pass minimum-count, schema, duplicate-ID, and unexpected-shrink checks before it becomes the latest snapshot. If validation fails, the last known-good version remains live. See the current data status.
Raw value versus package value
Raw value is the sum of every asset. Package value accounts for finite roster spots: the best asset is counted in full, while secondary pieces can receive a transparent consolidation and replacement-level adjustment. The result shows both totals and never hides an adjustment inside a player price.
The 5% even band
After package adjustments, a gap below 5% of the combined value is called EVEN. This is a negotiation band, not proof that both managers should accept.
League-format limitations
The current dynasty source exposes one universal, Superflex-weighted market table. TradeGauge does not claim that changing 1QB, PPR, TEP, or team count reprices that table. Redraft does have separate Superflex/1QB and PPR/Half/Standard datasets. Roster scans personalize team rank, positional needs, and counterparties without pretending to alter the underlying market price.
Decision rule
Use TradeGauge to anchor the market price and expose package structure. Then apply lineup quality, waiver replacement level, contention window, injuries, and your league's trading behavior. Market value is evidence—not a command.
